At the end of September, Staufen AG’s C-Day offered around 50 decision-makers from the industry a newly created information and communication platform. The Executive Conference in Bad Teinach, Germany, focused on one of the most pressing questions of our time: How will we produce in the future?  

Whether it is the critical supply of raw materials and intermediate products or the global distribution of finished products, international competition places high demands on industry. To be among the winners, companies need a supply chain network that is robust, resilient, and agile, with a focus on the customer. According to the recent Future Industry 2023 study, 70 percent of companies currently see great potential for making their supply chain network more efficient. In addition, many organizations are inadequately prepared for potential threats to their operations. Today, only slightly more than half of companies have a professional risk management system in place for the early identification of threats. For the study, management consultants Staufen surveyed more than 400 industrial companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. 

For the current study “The Future of Training and Development”, more than 1,000 employees across Germany were surveyed. 46 percent of employees would like to see a significantly higher commitment level by their direct supervisor in their professional education.

More than 200 leaders had an intensive discussion in this year’s BestPractice Day 2023 about what the value creation networks of the future must look like in order to be more flexible, efficient, and resilient.

According to our latest “Future Industry 2023” study, 62 percent of industrial companies in the DACH region have set themselves the goal of becoming carbon neutral within the next ten years.

The recession in Germany, which has now been officially confirmed, has made the implementation of more efficient value creation a top concern for industrial companies. This is the result of the current study, “Future Industry 2023.”

A dual-class digital society has established itself in industry: according to the current study “Future Industry 2023,” 49% of the companies surveyed are proceeding actively with digitalization. The rest are currently still stuck in individual projects or have yet to find true access to this topic. For the study, the consulting company Staufen surveyed more than 400 industrial companies from German-speaking Europe.
